Primary Log House Felling Dates: Winter 1840/1
Individual sample 1767-1840 (yellow pine) wdga10 (t = 6.90 SEUSAPIN; 5.41 BOHS; 4.71 CPGAx1).
Description courtesy of Mark Reinberger: The William Daniel House, on Founders Boulevard in Oconee County, is a wood-framed antebellum farmhouse, with an I-house form and a central hall plan. It has unusual floor-length windows, a central doorway with sidelights and transom, and a two-story porch on the facade.
Dendrochronological analysis has shown that amongst the timbers used to construct the building was one with complete sapwood that provided a felling date of the winter of 1840/1.
