The Tobacco Barn at Watkins Regional Park was once part of a large tobacco-producing estate owned by the Belt family. Dendrochronological analysis has shown that the building was constructed from timbers felled in the spring of 1860, suggesting that the barn was constructed at this time or shortly thereafter.
