The Henry Strickland House is one of the earliest houses in Madison County, Georgia, and was built by one of the founders of the town of Danielsville. It is two stories tall and has a braced-frame and hall-parlor plan. Much abused in recent decades, it has recently been moved and restored by a descendant of the builder.
Dendrochronological analysis has shown that the building was constructed from timbers felled in the winter of 1805/6 and the spring of 1806.
