The Poe House is a five-bay, one-and-a-half story brick structure located in Annapolis, Maryland. The original part of the house (the east section) was a three-bay, hall-and-parlor plan framed structure, which was later rebuilt in brick and extended by a brick addition consisting of two bays to the west (Miller and Ridout 2001: 118-120). Dendrochronological analysis has shown that the east section of the building was constructed from timbers felled in the winter of 1718/9 and the winter of 1719/20, suggesting that the primary phase was constructed in the winter of 1719/20 or shortly thereafter. The secondary phase remains undated by dendrochronology.
